I want to plan an offshore fishing vacation. Any good ideas and/or suggestions in Florida? We have been to the Keys several times. Any other options that are inexpensive?

Fishing and skiing vacation in upstate NY or VT? Me and my wife live in Montreal which is close to the borders of NY and VT. We want to take a little vacation at the end of February. We want a nice little place, maybe with a hot-tub that allows pets. I want to be close to skiing and maybe some offseason trout or other fishing. Can anyone reccomend something?

We are going on a big group vacation next summer and we are getting a beach house and I want to take my fishing gear, but my husband says we would have to get a fishing license in that state first. Our vacation is our own bass fishing tournament, prize ideas? My bf and I were going to go to Las Vegas for our summer vacation. But, his dad is really ill and we don't want to go too far. We both love camping and fishing and decided to take a fishing trip. So for 6 days we are going to fish at a different lake everyday. We are going to have our own "tournament". Why do guys get uptight during fishing, camping, hunting trips, making it feel less like a vacation? I tend to like lazy vacations, but sometimes I go with guys fishing and stuff, and there's usually one or two that seem more tense about getting out there and conquering two or three times a day than just relaxing and possibly just sitting around the cabin. They seem to judge those that hang back and those that tell them "relax, we're on vacation." What's up with this and how to deal with it?

I am looking to book a family vacation in Alaska for salmon Fishing in July? Does anyone know a good reputable outfit that I should look into? I am looking for something that is reasonably price for a week of stay for my wife, a 7 yrs old, and I including room, meals and 5 days of chartered fishing trips. I have seen prices ranging from $800 to $3000. I prefer to keep it between $1,200 to $1,500 max per person double occupancy.
